The Story of Coffee and Me - Part II

The story of coffee and me!
... continues from the previous posts.
Our family used to have a little coffee roasting hut not far away from the family house when Dad and Brother first started. Years later a factory in the outskirts of town.
A little cafe was also opened in town during that time so customers could sample all the different roasted coffee flavours and aromas. Signature menus were also served, where I had a very tiny responsibility of preparing some food on alternate days as I had a full time job then.
This we're talking about was in the mid Nineties.
Whenever, I visited the factory I was completely intoxicated by the coffee beans! I would be completely high and to sample a new roasting method, would throw me off balance completely yet it was such a pleasure of experience.
What's most interesting is, non of us in the family who ran the coffee business were coffee drinkers.
We were coffee connoisseur!
In order to maintain pure excellent coffee bean aromas and flavours, one has to to not be a coffee drinker.
Why? This is in order to maintain the high quality excellence of pure tastes in the roasting of coffee beans and it's requirements by different customers.
In all honesty, I knew nothing except enjoy its aroma, not even a sip and still be completely high with 'out of body' experience when I left the factory.
The story of coffee and me!
... continues.

Mother Nature. Mother Earth.

The Story of Coffee and Me - Part I

I never used to be a coffee drinker like I must have one every morning! even though I love its smell and I would get high just smelling the aroma.
Why?
If had a cuppa, I would have an "out of body" experience.
If I had just a sip, my heart would be racing so hard and fast, my body would be almost trembling, my mind would be intoxicated and I would feel as though I'm in a some sort of trance and doped.
Out of body experience!
I would basically be functionless and useless coz I can't 'catch' my racing heart and wondering off mind back.
That's the reason, I tried not to touch coffee. Only when I'm on holiday or having nothing important to attend to and I am able to 'waste' myself away to chill out and relax would I give in to its aromatic flavours.
Then one day ... all that changed.
The story of coffee and me!

Praying for Healing in Our World

The elderly and children of Jamgon Kongtrull IIIRD Memorial Home praying for healing in our world.
This Home is multi-generational as one of the earliest residents were 3 orphans brought in by the grandfather. So, grandfather was asked to stay on and the Home quickly recognised how this benefited both children and the elderly.
Su-Ming (a friend who is in her early 80s, who also came for mindful art sessions last year) shared these pictures and I was greatly touched to see these images.
We are sharing this together with Pao Yen’s (Su-Ming’s friend’s) permission, since she is not on any social medias. She is happy to share this heart-warming and touching photos via my pages to radiate light and healing to all.
In her own words, “It lights up my life, too to share uplifting information especially in these times. I have been to Pullahari a couple of times. Once with Chi, her son … they spent a night at the Home. Greatly blessed.”
From Pao Yen, “When the world is safe again, let me know if anyone likes to make a visit to our projects.” (she runs the above Home in Kalimpong, India. Started and supported by Pullahari Monastery in Katmandu, Nepal. Pullahari is a highly respected centre for teaching meditation with people coming from all over the world.)
Note: DO share with whom you feel or think needs to see this. Thank you.

Bugger Off CoRonaRona-19

What's new? Nothing ...

I haven't been on social medias much again ... I mean, I have been in and out posting yet have not interacted much in responding to posts or requests. I zoom in then out again very quickly!

Been a spoilt sport, too!
😁 Don't mind me, please as it's one of the ways (apart from all the arty farty creative stuff) of keeping and staying 'safe' from too much news and information of all sorts. One can never have too much of it. It'll throw me off balance and start drowning and overwhelm me.
Keeping well and staying safe also means looking after my well-being - mentally, emotionally and spiritually not just physically.

Anyway, today it shall be! Coming out of my cocoon and voilà ... combining requests from dear friends, here's a photo of me and art.
Thank you, all of you who tagged me.
Kamsiah! Kamsiah!

How have you been keeping well and staying safe? I mean, not how the whole world is telling us how to stay safe and keep well physically or the gomen, family and friends are asking and telling us to ... but honestly, how have you been doing this for yourself?

Nature Healing & Restoring

I had this image since last summer when I was in Lajoskomarom, Hungary and I’ve been carrying it in my heart since then.

Finally, I’ve managed to inked them down. Mindfully, meditatively line by line.

I feel what the Earth feels and what She is going through. Despite our mindless ignorance, power and greed … over and again, Mother Nature is ever so compassionate, gracious, kind and loving towards us.

She knows we need Her. She keeps birthing and evolving.

Yet, enough is enough! She knows what is needed.

Mother Nature has a way of restoring, healing and claiming her space not only for Her elf but for us mankind, too. Not only for you or me as an individual but for all of us collectively.

“Some call me Nature, others call me mother nature
I’ve been here for over four and half billion years
Twenty-two thousand five hundred times longer than you
I don’t really need people but people need me
Yes, your future depends on me
When I thrive, you thrive
When I falter, you falter or worse
But I’ve been there for aeons
I have fed species greater than you and
I have starved species greater than you
How you chose to live each day whether you regard or
disregard me doesn’t really matter to me
One way or the other your actions will determine your fate not mine
I am nature
I will go on
I am prepared to evolve
Are you?
NATURE DOES NOT NEED PEOPLE
PEOPLE NEED NATURE”
